1) Before you book

• Choose the right size (2m³, 4.5m³, 6m³, 7m³).
• Choose the right waste type: General • Green Waste • Hardfill.
• If unsure, call us or send a photo for free advice.

2) What can go in each bin

General Waste (household/DIY)

• OK: furniture, carpets, plastics, cardboard, timber/ply offcuts, metals, general junk.
• Not allowed: soil, lath & plaster, hardfill (concrete/brick/tiles), liquids (paint/oils/chemicals), hazardous items (asbestos, batteries, gas bottles), tyres.
• Accepted items: mattresses & whiteware, e-waste (TVs/monitors) — no extra charges; standard weight limits apply.

Green-Waste

• OK: branches, leaves, hedge trimmings, lawn clippings.
• Not allowed: soil/dirt, treated timber, flax or palm fronds, toxic/irritant plants.

Hardfill

• OK: concrete, brick, pavers, tiles, clean soil.
• Do not mix hardfill with general or green waste.

3) Loading rules (safety)

• Level with the rim only — nothing protruding above the sides.
• Load evenly and keep everything within the bin footprint.
• No compaction with machinery; keep the door closed/latched before pickup.
• No fires, hot ash, fuel or pressurised cylinders in the bin.

4) Weight limits & charges

• Included weight (General Waste): 2m³ = 250kg • 4.5m³ = 450kg • 6m³ = 700kg • 7m³ = 900kg.
• Included weight (Hardfill 2m³): 2,000kg.
• Over-weight charge: $45 per 100kg (or part thereof) over the allowance. We email the weigh docket if charges apply.

5) Placement & access

• Private property (driveway/front yard) is preferred on firm, level ground.
• Street/footpath placement usually needs a council permit arranged in advance.
• Access clear from 7am on delivery & pickup days; advise tight/low/soft access.
• If the bin sits outside your property, it’s open to misuse — you’re responsible for contents, loading and any overweight/contamination.

6) Hire period

• Standard hire is 5 days. Weekend pickups roll to Monday. Public holidays: next business day.
• Extensions or early pickups by arrangement — call us.

7) Payment

• Pay before delivery (online) or cash on pickup by prior arrangement.
• Over-weight/contamination charges (if any) are billed after disposal with the weigh docket.

8) Prohibited & hazardous items

• Asbestos, chemicals/solvents, wet paint, oils, fuels, medical waste/sharps, gas bottles, batteries, explosives, hot ash.
• If in doubt, ask before you book. We can advise safe disposal options.
